Festival polenta in Monterchi

In Monterchi, in the province of Arezzo, from 21st to 23rd September 2012.

 Three days of celebrations that involve the whole town in an explosion of joy and collaboration, three days of music, dancing, good food but most of all, traditional, simple and prepared as in the old days, all in a charming town. An unmissable meeting for food lovers and nostalgic for the old traditions. At the food stands  you can enjoy polenta with tomato sauce, mushrooms, bacon and roast, sausages, liver, fried mushrooms ....

The festival takes place in the Old Town and in Square Mercatale: a shuttle bus connects these two points.

On Saturday and Sunday, in the historical center there will be a craft market.

Tre giorni di festa che coinvolgono tutta la cittadina in un'esplosione di allegria e collaborazione, tre giorni di musica, di balli, ma soprattutto di buona cucina; una cucina tradizionale, semplice e preparata come ai vecchi tempi, il tutto in un contesto suggestivo. Un appuntamento imperdibile per i buongustai ed i nostalgici delle vecchie tradizioni. Presso gli stands gastronimici potete gustare polenta al sugo, ai funghi, con pancetta e arrosto, salsicce, fegatelli, funghi fritti....

La sagra si svolge sia nel Cento storico che in piazza del Mercatale: un bus navetta collega questi due punti.

Il sabato e la domenica, nel Centro storico ci sarà anche un mercatino dell'artigianato.
