Panzano in Chianti,  April 25th 2016

Like every year, on April 25 th, Panzano in Chainti, village of Greve, dresses up with a historical re-enactment that is inspired by a true story: the feud between Firidolfi the Castle of Panzano and the Gherardini of Montagliari Castle.

From 11.00 am till late at night, in fact, in the streets of the village you live a special and medieval atmosphere, with ladies, knights, nobles, peasants, jugglers and stilt walkers.

At 4.00 p.m it will march through the streets of the village the  historical parade, accompanied by flag bearers.

You can find a cheerful surround: medieval games, markets, stalls with delicious wine and equally great food, like  lamprey, crushed with the grapes and porchetta, sandwiches with salami, ribollita, peposo, pappa al pomodoro,  ficattole, and special pancakes with wisteria!

The evening ends with a fascinating show of fireworks !!

Come ogni anno, il 25 aprile Panzano in Chainti, frazione di Greve, si veste a festa con una rievocazione storica che prende spunto da un fatto  realmente accaduto: la faida tra i Firidolfi del Castello di Panzano e i Gherardini del Castello di Montagliari.

Dalle ore 11.00 sino a tarda notte, infatti, nelle vie del borgo si vive un'atmosfera speciale, medievale, con dame, cavalieri, nobili, villani, giocolieri e trampolieri.

Alle ore 16.00, invece, sfilerà tra le vie del borgo il corteo storico, accompagnato dagli sbandieratori.
A tutto ciò faranno da contorno giochi medievali, mercatini, bancarelle con ottimo vino ed altrettanto ottimo cibo, come il lampredotto, la schiacciata con l'uva,  la porchetta,  i panini con i salumi, la ribollita, il peposo, la pappa al pomodoro, le ficattole,e le speciali frittelle col glicine‬!

la serata si conclude con un affascinante spettacolo di fuochi d'artificio!!

A Sansepolcro vive ancora la tradizione tipicamente medievale  del tiro della balestra "grossa"; l'apice della diffusione della balestra si è avuta fra il 1200 ed il 1400 con l'uso dell'arma a scopi militari.

Oggi giorno se si parla di balestra a Sansepolcro ci si riferisce alla competizione che ha luogo a settembre, organizzato in onore di Sant'Egidio, documentata sin dal 1594 : la prima si svolge fra Rioni il lunedì successivo alla prima domenica di settembre, la seconda si disputa fra San Sepolcro e Gubbio la seconda domenica di settembre. Il secondo palio è sicuramente quello più famoso ed a cui partecipano più spettatori.
Il luogo prescelto per le gare è la Piazza Torre di Berta, centro della vita cittadina, alle ore 16.15. Prima dell'inizio del gioco, sfila il corteo storico che parte dalla Piazza. Il corteo si muove in un'atmosfera ricca di colori, costumi, armi, bandiere, portando alla testa il Vessillifero con il gonfalone troncato di bianco e nero di Sansepolcro, scortato da due mazzieri e seguito dal Capitano degli armati e otto armigeri. Tutti i figuranti indossano costumi ispirati agli affreschi del concittadino Piero della Francesca, che fu anche lui balestriere. Quindi seguono notabili, nobili, dame, cavalieri, paggi, alfieri, musici e sbandieratori. Il gruppo, che compone il corteo di Gubbio è presente con un analogo numero di partecipanti.
I balestrieri devono colpire un bersaglio ed ogni tiratore ha a disposizione un solo tiro.
Il bersaglio si trova a trentasei metri di distanza dalla panca dove sono appoggiate le balestre e consiste in una tavola circolare  di legno, da cui sporge un tronco di cono, la cui estremità ha un diametro di tredici centimetri. Il centro del cono è segnato da un dischetto nero di tre centimetri di diametro ed i balestrieri cercano di colpire proprio questo punto.
Al balestriere vincente andrà il Palio, un tempo era un prezioso drappo ricamato per confezionarsi un abito, oggi giorno si tratta di un'opera di un artista.

La città è in festa anche nei giorni precedenti, infatti si comincia mercoledì 31 agosto alle ore 21.00 con il palio tra i rioni, venerdì 9 settembre alle ore 20.00 si tiene il convivio rinascimentale sotto il loggiato di Piazza delle Laudi, un'occasione in cui poter assaporare sapori, odori tipici di un banchetto rinascimentale. Sabato 10 settembre dalle ore 17.00, poi, c'è l'offerta del cero nella Cattedrale di Sansepolcro: una messa ben augurale alla presenza dei rappresentanti delle corporazioni. Festa di Sant'Anna - Firenze

Il 26 luglio ricorre per Firenze la cacciata del Duca d’Atene Gualtieri di Brienne, salito al potere grazie alle discordie interne alla classe dirigente fiorentina.
Il popolo fiorentino si ribellò ai soprusi ed alle violenze e, proprio il 26 luglio 1343 riuscì a cacciare il Duca dalla città. 
Da quel giorno Sant’Anna fu proclamata Santa protettrice della libertà della città e il 26 luglio divenne così giorno di festa.
La nuova Signoria decise di porre l'effige della santa  in Orsanmichele, che era chiesa e granaio della città. Mettere l'immagine della santa stava, quindi, ad indicare l'ufficialità e la natura civica del "nuovo culto", della venerazione che le si voleva tributare.
L'altare divenne il fulcro della festa, intorno ad esso si affollavano i fedeli offrendo doni alla figura di Sant'Anna.

Si decise così che proprio a Orsanmichele ogni 26 luglio l’immagine di Sant'Anna venisse addobbata con le bandiere delle arti e che il popolo si recasse a portare in dono ceri o monete.

La tradizione è rimasta fino ai nostri giorni e prevede la partenza del corteo storico alle 20.45 da Palazzo Vecchio, cui si unirà l'assessore alle tradizioni popolari con il Gonfalone di Firenze, per giungere sul sagrato di Santa Maria del Fiore per via Calzaiuoli. A questo punto le autorità religiose si uniranno al corteo che, per via Roma, raggiungerà la chiesa di Orsanmichele per al tradizionale offerta e benedizione dei ceri. In questi due fine settimana, Monteriggioni si veste a festa, tornano a rivivere personaggi reali e leggendari di un passato ormai lontano, ma che suscitano ancora mistero e magia. Acrobati, saltimbanchi, giocolieri, soldati, dame, cavalieri.....ripopolano questo antico borgo, fra i più bei borghi italiani, per renderlo ancora più suggestivo ed affascinante. Addirittura fuori dalle mura verrà allestito un presidio militare, con soldati e cavalieri, pronti per partire per le Crociate in terra Santa.
Il visitatore partecipa a questa atmosfera, infatti all'ingresso del castello si può cambiare l'Euro con il "Grosso", l'antica moneta della Repubblica Senese, coniata appositamente per l'occasione. All'interno, inoltre, sono presenti bancarelle  e locande dove si possono degustare piatti tipici locali, accompagnati da un ottimo vino. Le stradine ed i vicoli si animano con antichi mestieri, come il fabbro, i concai, che svelano i segreti della lavorazione degli orci, i maniscalchi e la bottega dello speziale, il fornaio.
Il programma è ricco di eventi ed iniziative, con musica, danze medioevali, artisti di strada, spettacoli teatrali, che lasceranno i visitatori ammaliati.

Carnevale dei Figli di Bocco

Castiglion Fibocchi is a small town in the province of Arezzo, whose name derives from the Latin "castellum", that is fortified and "Filis Bocchi", which literally means sons of Bocco. Autumnia e' una manifestazione dedicata all'agricoltura, all'alimentazione ed all'ambiente, con apertura dalle 9.00 alle 20.00, con oltre 120 espositori.
Tante le novità di questa  tredicesima edizione, che ogni anno vede una presenza massiccia di visitatori  e turisti, l'anno scorso, per esempio, sono state superate le 80.000 presenze. Convegni, concerti, esibizione della Protezione Civile, mostra di pittura e non solo.
 Nella piazza principale della cittadina, Piazza Marsilio Ficini, verranno allestiti stands enogastronomici, in cui sarà possibile degustare ed assaporare i prodotti del territorio, come il pollo del Valdarno, olio, vino e fagioli zolfini. Nella Piazza di via Del Puglia, invece, si potrà  ammirare l'esposizione zootecnica di  esemplari di razze bovine, ovine, suine e avicole allevate nelle aziende della zona. Ampio spazio verrà dedicato anche i bambini, infatti nella pineta verranno allestiti laboratori per i più piccoli,  come "Piccoli ispettori ambientali crescono" e "Imparare giocando".

Le insegne delle contrade sventolano lungo le strade della città, il corteo dei figuranti si appresta affilare per le vie, la fortezza diviene un cantiere dove si prepara il lauto banchetto.

È la sagra del tordo, manifestazione folcloristico - gastronomica  che l'ultima domenica di ottobre riporta Montalcino alle antiche origini, e' una tradizione che ricalca costumi cortesi quando dame e cavalieri facevano la stori dell'antico borgo.
Oggi restano quattro quartieri di Borghetto, Pianello, Ruga e Travagli a contendersi la vittoria con il tiro con l'arco. La sagra del tordo ci porta l'eco di antiche cacce, i boschi erano terreno fertile, soprattutto da agosto, ad ottobre, quando passano a stormi lungo i declivi tordi per procurarsi olive e bacche di ginepro. I cacciatori facevano ritorno con ricche prede, dando vita a feste e conviviali dove regnavano incontrastati gli arrosti ed i rinomati vini.  
Nel giorno della festa, alle 9.00, popolani e popolane danzano per le vie cittadine il folcloristico ballo del trescone. I rappresentanti dei quartieri escono negli splendidi costumi trecenteschi e dalle ore 11.00 danno vita al corteo diretto in Piazza del Popolo. Su di un palco davanti al palazzo comunale il signore della fortezza e la Castellana aspettano il corteo per i ricevere l'omaggio dei doni. I figuranti sfilano al suono delle trombe e dei tamburi che introducono lo stendardo comunale. È un tripudio di colori e di suoni a cui partecipa tutta la cittadinanza.
Terminata la donazione il corteo si sosta sul sagrat di S. Egidio per la benedizione degli arcieri. Alle ore 15.00 il corteo storico esce dalla fortezza e si dirige verso il campo del torneo dove i quartieri si disputano la vittoria. Gli arcieri dovranno colpire la sagoma del cinghiale disposta in fondo al campo. Per tutto il giorno, dalle ore 9.00 alle 20.00, rimangono aperti gli stands gastronomici, dove è possibile gustare pinci, scottaglie, carne grigliate da assaporare insieme ai prestigiosi vini.

Arcidosso, in provincia di Grosseto, 18-19-20 ottobre e 25-26-27 ottobre 2013

Per due fine settimana la cittadina, in cui potete anche ammirare il castello aldobrandesco, ospita la XXVI edizione della festa della castagna. La festa prevede una rievocazione delle tradizioni popolari che circondavano la raccolta delle castagne ed il suo utilizzo nell'alimentazione.
Inoltre per le strade del centro saranno allestiti stands gastronomici, dove potete gustare cibi a base di castagne e provare l'ottima birra di castagne!
Il tutto accompagnato da musica itinerante, spettacoli, concerti per le vie del paese e mercatini dell'artigianato locale, dell'antiquariato nel Parco del Pero e delle pulci in Piazza Indipendenzae per i più piccoli laboratori didattici!
Per l'occasione verranno anche organizzate visite guidate alle cantine nel centro storico.

Flavours festival - La festa dei sapori

Pistoia, from the 26th to the 28th October 2012In the city center, near the Cathedral of San Zeno, there will be a "lustful singing and eating." It is a traveling exhibition, which this year has touched cities like Milan, Genoa, Picenza, Bellaria and aims to represent all types of traditional foods of the various Italian regions.

Conceived and organized by Holly Art Flavours, the event seeks to keep alive in the people the desire and curiosity to discover the great food traditions and culinary conaddistingue our country.

There will be about twenty stands of typical products from all regions of Italy, from Trentino to Sicily.

Will be an opportunity to sample, taste, discover new flavors, but also to spend two days in joy because they will always present musical entertainment and performances by various artists from the street.



Pistoia, dal 26 al 28 ottobre 2012

Nel centro cittadino, nei dintorni della cattedrale di San Zeno, si terrà la " Golosona cantando e mangiando". È una manifestazione itinerante, che nel corso dell'anno ha toccato città come Milano, Genova, Picenza, Bellaria ed ha l'obiettivo di rappresenta tutte le tipologie di cibi tradizionali delle varie regioni italiane.

Ideata ed organizzata da Agrifoglio Arte Sapori, la manifestazione cerca di mantenere viva nella popolazione la voglia e la curiosità di scoprire la grande tradizione alimentare e culinaria che conaddistingue il nostro paese.

Saranno presenti circa venti banchi di prodotti tipici provenienti da tutte le regioni d'Italia, dal Trentino alla Sicilia.

Sarà l'occasione per assaggiare, gustare, scoprire nuovi sapori, ma anche di passare due giornate in allegria, visto che saranno sempre presenti intrattenimenti musicale e spettacoli di vari artisti da strada.

The chestnut festival - Sagra della castagna

Bacchereto, in the province of Prato, on the 13rd-14th October and on the 20th-21st October 2012.

A village festival, held in the historic center of the town, where you can scroll to two days in joy and of good taste.

In fact, for the whole day will be open food stands where you can enjoy typical Tuscan dishes and typical autumn ones as bread soup, Nicci with ricotta, chestnut, rosted chesttnut, ballotte, polenta with mushrooms. On Saturday stands will open its doors at 4:00 p.m, on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.

Una festa paesana, allestita nel centro storico della cittadina, dove poter a scorrere due giornate in allegria ed all'insegna del buon gusto.
Infatti, per le intere giornate saranno aperti stands gastronomici, dove poter gustare piatti tipici della Toscana e prodotti tipici dell'autunno, come minestradi pane, nicci con ricotta, castagnaccio, bruciate, ballotte, polenta ai funghi. Sabato gli stands apriranno i battenti alle ore 16.00, domenica alle ore 15.00.

Rufina, near Florence, on 30th September.

Thirty-seventh edition of this great event which opens this fall. Tradition and culture combine to evoke the ancient bond between Rufina and Florence. On 29th September in Piazza Signoria the traditional parade for the delivery of wine to remember when the caravan of wagons starded from Rufina (the wagon is called "Carro Matto") with over 2000 bottles. Wine's arrival was celebrated with a ceremony and, in Piazza della Signoria, the Gonfalonier toasted with the Priors to the health of the people of Florence. The tradition is repeated again this year.


Sunday at 12:15 p.m there will be the blessing of Carro Matto  atthe church of S. Martino. At 3:00 p.m. the parade of the Florentine Republic and Carro Matto will parade through the streets carrying a tribute to the town of Rufina.
Later there will be an exhibition of the flag bearers of the Procession of the Florentine Republic at Villa Poggio Reale. The event will end at 10.00 p.m. with fireworks "Barrels of Bacchus."

 For the whole day on the streets of the center will be a marketplace of Chianti Rufina and Pomino and local craft products.

Rufina, in provincia di Firenze, domenica 30 settembre.

Trentasettesima edizione di questa grande manifestazione che apre l’autunno. Tradizione e cultura si fondono per rievocare l’antico legame tra Rufina e Firenze. Il 29 settembre in Piazza Signoria il tradizionale corteo per la consegna del vino ricorda quando da Rufina partivala carovana di carri ( il carro è chiamato "Carro Matto") con 2000 fiaschi sopra. L' arrivo del vino era festeggiato con unasolenne cerimonia ed in Piazza della Signoria, il Gonfaloniere brindava con i Priori allasalute del popolo fiorentino. La tradizione si ripete anche quest'anno.

Domenica alle 12,15 ci sarà la benedizione del Carro Matto alla chiesa di S. Martino. Alle 15,00 il corteo storico della Repubblica Fiorentina e il Carro Matto sfileranno per le vie del paese portando un omaggio al Comune di Rufina. In seguito ci sarà l’esibizione degli sbandieratori del Corteo della Repubblica Fiorentina a Villa Poggio Reale. La manifestazione terminerà alle 22,00 con lo spettacolo pirotecnico “Botti di Bacco".
