Pistoia, from the 26th to the 28th October 2012In the city center, near the Cathedral of San Zeno, there will be a "lustful singing and eating." It is a traveling exhibition, which this year has touched cities like Milan, Genoa, Picenza, Bellaria and aims to represent all types of traditional foods of the various Italian regions.
Conceived and organized by Holly Art Flavours, the event seeks to keep alive in the people the desire and curiosity to discover the great food traditions and culinary conaddistingue our country.
There will be about twenty stands of typical products from all regions of Italy, from Trentino to Sicily.
Will be an opportunity to sample, taste, discover new flavors, but also to spend two days in joy because they will always present musical entertainment and performances by various artists from the street.

Nel centro cittadino, nei dintorni della cattedrale di San Zeno, si terrà la " Golosona cantando e mangiando". È una manifestazione itinerante, che nel corso dell'anno ha toccato città come Milano, Genova, Picenza, Bellaria ed ha l'obiettivo di rappresenta tutte le tipologie di cibi tradizionali delle varie regioni italiane.
Ideata ed organizzata da Agrifoglio Arte Sapori, la manifestazione cerca di mantenere viva nella popolazione la voglia e la curiosità di scoprire la grande tradizione alimentare e culinaria che conaddistingue il nostro paese.
Saranno presenti circa venti banchi di prodotti tipici provenienti da tutte le regioni d'Italia, dal Trentino alla Sicilia.
Sarà l'occasione per assaggiare, gustare, scoprire nuovi sapori, ma anche di passare due giornate in allegria, visto che saranno sempre presenti intrattenimenti musicale e spettacoli di vari artisti da strada.
The first Sunday of September: in Pescia, in the province of Pistoia.
The Palio takes its origin from the festivities for the patron saint of the town, the martyred Dorothea, starting from 1300. These festivities included solemn liturgical celebrations, festivals and the prize was the culmination of the games.
Today, the Palio provides competition between the four districts of Pescia: Santa Maria, San Francisco, and San Michele Ferraria.
The celebrations start on the previous week, with music, craft markets, a market Medieval shows, acrobats, jugglers, flag bearers, musicians, appearing with medieval clothes that animate the streets of downtown. Are also set up stalls in which to savor local specialties.
The real party starts on Friday, when presented the prize, which is a colored cloth, which annually remember an important fact connected with the history of Pescia.
On Sunday morning, starting at 10.15 a.m in the main square Herald notifys the city the race which will be held in the afternoon, at 5.00 p.m
The Palio procession through the streets of the city in a chariot decorated and is conducted in the Square, where the match starts between the archers that are trying to hit the target. The atmosphere is solemn, tense, but joyous at the same time. The eyes of the public eagerly followed the trajectory of the arrows. After announcing the winning district, the extras and the public in the neighborhood rejoice with shouts gioise and follow the Palio assigned, partying all night.
La prima domenica di Settembre: a Pescia, in provincia di Pistoia.
Il Palio trae la sua origine dai festeggiamenti per la patrona della cittadina, la martire Dorotea, a a partire dal 1300. Tali festeggiamenti prevedevano solenni celebrazioni liturgiche, feste popolari ed il palio rappresentava il momento culminante dei giochi.
Oggi giorno il Palio prevede la competizione tra quattro rioni di Pescia: Santa Maria, San Francesco, Ferraria e San Michele.
I festeggiamenti iniziano la settimana precedente, con musica, mercatini dell'artigianato, un mercato Medievale, spettacoli di saltimbanchi, giocolieri, sbandieratori, musici, figuranti con abiti medievali che animano le strade del centro. Vengono allestite anche bancherelle presso cui assaporare specialità tipiche della zona.
La festa vera e propria inizia il venerdì, quando viene presentato il palio, cioè un drappo colorato, che annualmente ricorda un fatto importante legato alla storia di Pescia.
La domenica mattina, a partire dalle 10.15, nella piazza principale l'Araldo comunica alla città la gara che si disputerà nel pomeriggio, alle ore 17.00.
Il Palio sfila per le strade del centro sopra un carro addobbato e viene condotto in Piazza, dove inizia la sfida tra gli arcieri, che cercano di centrare il bersaglio. L'atmosfera è solenne, tesa, ma festosa nello stesso tempo. Gli sguardi del pubblico seguono con trepidazione la traiettoria delle frecce. Dopo aver annunciato il rione vincitore, i figuranti ed il pubblico del quartiere esultano con grida gioise e seguono il Palio assegnato, facendo festa per tutta la serata.
