Festival of the thrush - la sagra del tordo

The insignia of the districts wave along the streets of the city, the procession of the set is about sharpening the streets, the fort becomes a construction site where they prepare the lavish banquet.It is the festival of thrush, folk and food even, on this occasion, on the last Sunday of October, Montalcino is back to the ancient origins, this tradition follows costumes courteous when knights and ladies were the historical ancient village.
Today there are four quarters of Borghetto, Pianello, Ruga and Travagli for victory with archery. The festival of the thrush brings us the echo of ancient hunting, the woods were fertile ground, especially from August to October, when they move in flocks along the slopes thrushes to get olive and juniper berries. The hunters were returning with rich booty, giving life to parties and banquets where reigned supreme roasts and famous wines.
On the feast day, at 9:00 a.m, commoners and ordinary folk dancing in the streets the folk dance trescone. The neighborhood representatives out in the beautiful fourteenth century costumes and from 11:00 a.m give life to the parade to Piazza del Popolo. On a stage in front of the town hall the lord of the fortress and the Castellana waiting for the procession to receive the homage of gifts. The parade set to the sound of trumpets and drums that introduce the banner town. It is a riot of colors and sounds to which all citizens participate.
After the donation the procession stop on Sagrat of S. Egidio for the blessing of the archers. At 3:00 p.m historical procession leaves the castle and goes to the field of tournament where the neighborhoods are competing to win. The archers will hit the silhouette of the wild boar placed in the bottom of the field.
Throughout the day, from 9.:00 a.m to 8:00, p.m there are still the food stands, where you can enjoy pinci, scottaglie, meat grilled to taste with the prestigious wines.

Le insegne delle contrade sventolano lungo le strade della città, il corteo dei figuranti si appresta affilare per le vie, la fortezza diviene un cantiere dove si prepara il lauto banchetto.

È la sagra del tordo, manifestazione folcloristico - gastronomica  che l'ultima domenica di ottobre riporta Montalcino alle antiche origini, e' una tradizione che ricalca costumi cortesi quando dame e cavalieri facevano la stori dell'antico borgo.
Oggi restano quattro quartieri di Borghetto, Pianello, Ruga e Travagli a contendersi la vittoria con il tiro con l'arco. La sagra del tordo ci porta l'eco di antiche cacce, i boschi erano terreno fertile, soprattutto da agosto, ad ottobre, quando passano a stormi lungo i declivi tordi per procurarsi olive e bacche di ginepro. I cacciatori facevano ritorno con ricche prede, dando vita a feste e conviviali dove regnavano incontrastati gli arrosti ed i rinomati vini.  
Nel giorno della festa, alle 9.00, popolani e popolane danzano per le vie cittadine il folcloristico ballo del trescone. I rappresentanti dei quartieri escono negli splendidi costumi trecenteschi e dalle ore 11.00 danno vita al corteo diretto in Piazza del Popolo. Su di un palco davanti al palazzo comunale il signore della fortezza e la Castellana aspettano il corteo per i ricevere l'omaggio dei doni. I figuranti sfilano al suono delle trombe e dei tamburi che introducono lo stendardo comunale. È un tripudio di colori e di suoni a cui partecipa tutta la cittadinanza.
Terminata la donazione il corteo si sosta sul sagrat di S. Egidio per la benedizione degli arcieri. Alle ore 15.00 il corteo storico esce dalla fortezza e si dirige verso il campo del torneo dove i quartieri si disputano la vittoria. Gli arcieri dovranno colpire la sagoma del cinghiale disposta in fondo al campo. Per tutto il giorno, dalle ore 9.00 alle 20.00, rimangono aperti gli stands gastronomici, dove è possibile gustare pinci, scottaglie, carne grigliate da assaporare insieme ai prestigiosi vini.

Chestnut Festival- la castagna in festa

Per due fine settimana la cittadina, in cui potete anche ammirare il castello aldobrandesco, ospita la XXVI edizione della festa della castagna. La festa prevede una rievocazione delle tradizioni popolari che circondavano la raccolta delle castagne ed il suo utilizzo nell'alimentazione.
Inoltre per le strade del centro saranno allestiti stands gastronomici, dove potete gustare cibi a base di castagne e provare l'ottima birra di castagne!
Il tutto accompagnato da musica itinerante, spettacoli, concerti per le vie del paese e mercatini dell'artigianato locale, dell'antiquariato nel Parco del Pero e delle pulci in Piazza Indipendenzae per i più piccoli laboratori didattici!
Per l'occasione verranno anche organizzate visite guidate alle cantine nel centro storico.

International market - Il Mercato Iternazionale

Mangi italiano o mangi messicano? Sgranocchi le speciliatà del Casentino o preferisci quelle israeliane? Il Mercato Internazonale da sempre ha il debole per il pasto esotico.

Arezzo, nel terzo week end di ottobre, ospita ancora una volta stands agricoli, artigiani e  gastronomici provenienti da tutto il mondo, quest'anno saranno 150 operatori stranieri e 80 operatori italiani, che permettono di gustare, ammirare ed assaporare specilità tradizionali ognuno del proprio paese o regione. Inoltre sono presenti ben 70 stands dove non si mangia e non si beve e pescano nelle tradizioni e nei gioielli di mezzo mondo. Ma le code sono altrove. Agli stinchii sotto gli alberi del Porcinai,  allo speck dell'Eden, alle salsicce piccanti a ridosso delle mura, alla carne argentina di là dal bastione.

L'inizio della manifestazione è previsto per venerdì 19, con l'inaugurazione alle 15.00 e poi avanti, sia sabato 20 che domenica 21. Una maratona di 46 ore di apertura dei banchi, con gli opeartori in azione dalle 9 in poi. Ma in particolare per gli stands gastronomici, il simbolo di quest'evento, il clou arriva fino a nte alta: la chiusura è alle 2.00 di notte, con la sola eccezione di domenica. Le zone della   città che ospita la kermesse sono l'Eden, via Guadagnoli, via Margaritone, via Spinello, basso Corso, piazze S. Jacopo e Risorgimento. Per chi viene in macchina, il parcheggio più vicino e comodo  è il parcheggio  Mecenate in viale Mecenate, aperto 24h su 24.

Ciokalenzano

Per chi ama la cioccolata, le dolcezze, questa e' la manifestazione giusta! La cittadina di Calenzano ha organizzato una fiera cioccolatosa, a cui parteciperanno i migliori cioccolatieri d'Italia per esporre le loro opere d'arte, ma anche per offrire ai visitatori degustazioni.

Nell'occasione i visitatori potranno votare e scegliere tra tutti gli espositori, il vincitore.
Anche i visitatori saranno premiati, visto che sarà messo in palio un soggiorno per due persone in un luogo di villeggiatura.

La fiera del cioccolato verrà allestita davanti ai giardini di via Don Minzoni, dalle 10.00 alle 20.00.

Flavours festival - La festa dei sapori

Pistoia, dal 26 al 28 ottobre 2012

Nel centro cittadino, nei dintorni della cattedrale di San Zeno, si terrà la " Golosona cantando e mangiando". È una manifestazione itinerante, che nel corso dell'anno ha toccato città come Milano, Genova, Picenza, Bellaria ed ha l'obiettivo di rappresenta tutte le tipologie di cibi tradizionali delle varie regioni italiane.

Ideata ed organizzata da Agrifoglio Arte Sapori, la manifestazione cerca di mantenere viva nella popolazione la voglia e la curiosità di scoprire la grande tradizione alimentare e culinaria che conaddistingue il nostro paese.

Saranno presenti circa venti banchi di prodotti tipici provenienti da tutte le regioni d'Italia, dal Trentino alla Sicilia.

Sarà l'occasione per assaggiare, gustare, scoprire nuovi sapori, ma anche di passare due giornate in allegria, visto che saranno sempre presenti intrattenimenti musicale e spettacoli di vari artisti da strada.

The chestnut festival - Sagra della castagna

Bacchereto, in provincia di Prato, 13 e 14 ottobre e 20 e 21 ottobre 2012.

Una festa paesana, allestita nel centro storico della cittadina, dove poter a scorrere due giornate in allegria ed all'insegna del buon gusto.
Infatti, per le intere giornate saranno aperti stands gastronomici, dove poter gustare piatti tipici della Toscana e prodotti tipici dell'autunno, come minestradi pane, nicci con ricotta, castagnaccio, bruciate, ballotte, polenta ai funghi. Sabato gli stands apriranno i battenti alle ore 16.00, domenica alle ore 15.00.
