The charm of Italian street food stops in Arezzo. Back to this weekend at  Prato (Meadow) with gastronomic specialties. The event with its stands in the city will bring the delicious oranges and traces, but also the flatbread and fried, the fried pizza, Neapolitan pizza, fried cod fillets, fried mixed. Prato will also come to the porchetta, lamprdedotto, all washed down with a good wine and even sweets typical of the area, such as the chestnut and the pancakes Savelle of Siena

The big news this year will be beer, debut, in fact, the new craft blonde double malt "Clara" brand Streetfood.

The appointment is in the enchanting surroundings of Prato of Arezzo, who in recent months and' returned the crossroads of life Arezzo, for the festival of food and wine that will involve all tastes.

Il fascino del cibo di strada italiano fa tappa ad Arezzo. Torna in questo weekend al Prato con le specialità gastronomiche. La manifestazione con i suoi banchi porterà in città i buonissimi arancini e le tirelle, ma anche la piadina ed il fritto, la pizza fritta, la pizza napoletana, filetti di baccalà fritti,    fritto misto. Al Prato arriveranno anche la porchetta, il lamprdedotto e gli spiedini, il tutto annaffiato da un buon vin ed anche dolci tipici della zona, come il castagnaccio e le frittelle Savelle di Siena.

La grande novità di questa edizione sarà la birra; esordirà, infatti, la nuova artigianale bionda doppio malto " Clara" a marchio Streetfood.
L'appuntamento è nella suggestiva location del Prato di Arezzo, che negli ultimi mesi e' tornato il crocevia della vita aretina, per la rassegna eno- gastronomica che coinvolgerà tutti i palati.

Feast of the games for everyone - Firenze gioca!

Two days will be devoted entirely to games, ancient and modern, from all over the world, two playrooms will be set up, one for children and one for young people and adults, where you can borrow free games. Next to them some associations offer demonstrations, competitions and tournaments of games, both traditional and innovative, giving the opportunity to know and appreciate to the public the latest news.

During the event are offered several workshops for children, such as jiggling and traction, which always receives great success among the public, especially the younger one, the laboratory building games and items with recycled material, a laboratory of magic tricks, a laboratory painting ... and more.

Impossible to list all the initiatives. If you want to spend a day of fun, be again children for a short time and pick games and fun activities, this is the place for you!


How to reach the theater Obihall:

By car: From either north or south exit of the A1 motorway from Florence South along the entire connection to Florence (SP127). After crossing the bridge over the Arno Varlungo, line up left turn at the traffic light. After 300 meters you will find the theater ObiHall on the left, in front of the RAI.

by train or bus: station Firenze Santa Maria Novella, line 14 Ataf Varlungo direction. Get off at "Varlungo 01" (the 16.ma from the station). Single ticket: 1.20 euro.

Presso il teatro Obihall, Lungarno Aldo Moro, si terrà la piu importante manifestazione ludica di Firenze, rivolta a tutti, grandi e piccini. L'orario di apertura è il sabato dalle 12.00 alle 24.00 e la domenica dalle 10.00 alle 20.00. L'ingresso e' libero.

Saranno due giornate interamente dedicato ai giochi, antichi e moderni, provenienti da tutto il mondo; verranno allestite due ludoteche, una per i più piccoli ed un'altra per i giovani ed adulti, dove è possibile prendere in prestito gratuito i giochi. Accanto ad esse alcune associazioni propongono dimostrazioni, tornei e gare di giochi, sia tradizionali che innovativi, dando la possibilità di far conoscere ed apprezzare al pubblico le ultime novità.
Durante la manifestazione vengono proposti diversi laboratori per bambini, come quello di giocoleria e motricità, che riscuote sempre grande successo nel pubblico, soprattutto quello più giovane, il laboratorio di costruzione giochi ed oggetti con materiale di riciclo, un laboratorio di trucchi magici, un laboratorio di pittura...ed altro ancora.
Impossibile elencare tutte le iniziative. Se volete passare una giornata all'insegna del divertimento, ritornare per un po' bambini e sbizzarrirvi con giochi ed attività ludiche, questo e' il posto giusto per voi!

in auto: Sia da Nord che da Sud l'uscita consigliata della A1 è Firenze Sud. Dal casello percorrere tutto il raccordo verso Firenze (SP127). Superato il ponte di Varlungo sull’Arno, incolonnarsi a sinistra per svoltare al semaforo. Dopo 300 metri si trova il Teatro ObiHall sulla sinistra, di fronte alla sede Rai.
in treno ed in autobus: Stazione di Firenze Santa Maria Novella: linea 14 Ataf direzione Varlungo. Scendere alla fermata “Varlungo 01″ (la 16.ma dalla Stazione). Biglietto per corsa singola: 1,20 euro.

Rificolona

"Ona Ona, what a beautiful rificolona ......" this old ditty echoed through the streets of Florence and San Giovanni Valdarno the evening of th 7th September the eve of the Nativity of Mary.
Its origin  is to be found in the seventeenth century, when the peasants and mountain areas around Florence came to town to celebrate the Nativity of the Virgin Mary at the Basilica of the Santissima Annunziata. On this occasion, in the square and in the streets around the church was organized a fair-market. In order to get a good seat, where to sell their products, such as cheese, mushrooms, yarns they were from home many hours before and at night they lighted their way with lanterns hung on bestoni. Once in the city, some groups of young Florentines teased the peasants, especially women, perhaps dressed so certainly not elegant and styled in an eccentric and a bit ridiculous way. Some young people threw the watermelon rinds against these lanterns to make them burn.With years for the 7th September the custom remained to compose the lanterns with the features of the peasant.In our days there are some traces of the origin of the festival, as the market in Piazza Santissima Annunziata, the Fierucola of bread, where you can buy organic products and handicrafts of small farms in the area, and as a bonfire of lanterns burn with precise shoots blowgun.
In the days preceding the festival, the children and young people have fun building your own rificolona, ​​that is a model of a colored paper, various shapes, strange and unique, with a little light inside, on the top of a pole .The festival in Florence is divided into two evenings: the 6th September the festival takes place along the River Arno with parades of lanterns illuminated boats, really impressive, and the 7th September there is the parade from Piazza Santa Croce to Piazza Santissima Annunziata.

"Ona, Ona, ma che bella rificolona......" questo vecchio stornello riecheggia fra le strade di Firenze e San Giovanni Valdarno la serata del 7 settembre, vigilia della Natività di Maria.
La sua origine e' da ricercarsi nel Seicento, quando i contadini ed i montanari delle zone intorno a Firenze si recavano in città per festeggiare la Natività della Madonna presso la Basilica della Santissima Annunziata. In questa occasione, nella piazza antistante e nelle strade intorno alla chiesa veniva organizzata una fiera-mercato. Per poter prendere un buon posto, dove vendere i propri prodotti, come formaggi, funghi, filati dovevano partire da casa molte ore prima e di notte rischiaravano il proprio cammino con delle lanterne appese a dei bestoni. Giunti in città, alcuni gruppi di giovani fiorentini canzonavano i campagnoli, se la prendevano soprattutto con le donne, magari abbigliate in modo non certo elegante ed acconciate in maniera eccentrica ed un po' ridicola. Alcuni giovani, poi, gettavano delle bucce di cocomero contro queste lanterne per farle incendiare.
Con gli anni e' rimasta l'usanza per il 7 settembre di comporre delle lanterne con le fattezze delle campagnole.

Ai nostri giorni sono rimaste alcune tracce dell'origine della festa, come il mercato in Piazza Santissima Annunziata, la Fierucola del pane, dove si possono acquistare prodotti biologici e artigianali delle piccole aziende agricole della zona, ed il falò delle rificolone fatte incendiare con precisi tiri di cerbottana.
Nei giorni precedenti alla festa i bambini ed i giovani si divertono a costruìre la propria rificolona, vale a dire un modellino di carta colorata, dalle forme più svariate, bizzarre e particolari, con un lumicino all'interno, posto in cima ad un'asta.

La festa a Firenze si sviluppa in due serate: il 6 settembre la festa si svolge lungo l'Arno con la sfilate delle rificolone su barche illuminate, davvero suggestivo, ed il 7 settembre si svolge la sfilata da Piazza Santa Croce a Piazza Santissima Annunziata.
